The breakfast at Room In The Country was absolutely delightful. They served a variety of tasty treats and the conversation with Claire made it even more special. The beautiful Scottish sunrise that woke us up was a pleasant surprise, even though we forgot to close the curtains. The location turned out to be convenient, especially for returning our rental car. I highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional service and comfortable accommodations.

The rooms at A Room in the Country are light, modern, and cozy. I loved the private bathrooms with showers, they were clean and stocked with complimentary toiletries. The bed was comfortable, and the room had a nice LCD TV with satellite channels and a DVD player. the room felt like a home away from home, perfect for a relaxing stay.
The only thing I didn't particularly enjoy was the daily housekeeping. I personally prefer privacy during my stay, but I understand that others might appreciate this service.

I felt like I hit the jackpot with this hotel. The room was spotless and had everything I needed, plus some lovely treats waiting for me. The countryside location was stunning, and the owner was the friendliest and most helpful host I've ever encountered.
Breakfast delights, but I wish there were more options on the menu.

Cleanliness was exceptional - everything was exceptionally clean. Great location - very close to Edinburgh airport. We spent Christmas at this countryside hotel and had a wonderful time! The Scottish breakfasts were delicious and the coffee was some of the best we've ever had. We also loved the charming and friendly dogs. The key location was perfect for us, with easy access to Edinburgh and local walking routes in the Pentland Hills. One more advantage was that our family room had all the mod cons we needed and plenty of entertainment options.
The Wi-Fi was a bit spotty during our stay, but the owner assured us that an upgrade was in the works. Other than that, we couldn't find anything else to complain about.

I had a faultless stay at this B&B. the room was spacious with a double bed, twin beds, and a lounge area. the facilities were great, with chocolates, tea, coffee, and real milk provided. the bathroom was a good size with complimentary toiletries and a decent shower. the host, Claire, was incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. She gave me directions to local walks and was always willing to have a chat. the location was also fantastic, with the beautiful countryside on the doorstep and just a short drive or train ride into Edinburgh.
Felt like home, nothing to complain about.

One minor downside was the lack of WiFi, but the owner assured us that an upgrade is in the works.

We had an amazing Xmas stay at this hotel. the atmosphere was so cozy and warm, making us feel at home instantly. the location was perfect, as we were able to visit nearby attractions with ease. We also enjoyed the homemade Xmas cake and hot chocolate that was provided - it was such a nice touch.
Honestly, there isn't much to dislike about this hotel. the only thing that we would note is that the shower was a bit tricky to figure out at first.
